Design game play content for trading card games.
Create other game content including new product concepts, character and world development, unit/stats balance, tournament structures, and other content as needed.
Playtest experimental Magic sets and provide feedback on future environments.
Represent R&D as an expert on gaming industry trends, technical aspects of game design, and gaming consumer needs.
Maintain current knowledge of competitors’ products.
Expert knowledge of game play systems, especially trading card games.
4 year college degree or equivalent experience.
1 or more published game designs.
Deep love and knowledge of games, intellectual vigor, exceptional creativity, and ability to advocate opinions while building consensus.
Extensive knowledge of Magic: the Gathering.
Note: This position focuses mainly on analog games. It may also involve some digital game design, but programming skills are not required.
