Field Operations Technician II is responsible for maintaining and repairing cell site equipment and/or integrating EBTS/CDMA equipment. Responsibilities include: Routine, preventative and corrective maintenance on EBTS and support equipment, expansion work, outage resolutions, in-depth network system troubleshooting, system performance testing, installation and maintenance of EBTS and power equipment, calibration, tracking and reporting test equipment, responding to and resolving site outages 24 hours a day/7 days a week, inventory EBTS and site equipment asset management, installation, testing and activation of capacity BRs, conduct T1 testing and troubleshooting, terminate new site T1s, emergency generator deployment.  The candidate is also responsible for acceptance testing of new sites, installation and commissioning of additional equipment, assisting in customer service troubleshooting resolution, and maintenance of an accurate service logbook.  3-7 years related work experience.

Position is working mainly in core wireline and wireless switches and data centers.  

 In-depth knowledge of wireline/wireless equipment installation and basic testing methods and procedures (MOPs).
 Knowledge of operating principles of wireline, wireless and RF environments
 Ability to interpret and perform tasks outlined in MOPs, vendor documentation, technical specifications, network practices, engineering letters and job aids.  
 Knowledge of telephony networks, include DS1, DS3, OC, and various IP networks
 Ability to identify all colors associated with telecommunications cable and equipment indicator lights. 
 Dexterity to connect and disconnect various sizes and types of electronic connectors.
 Ability to work in overhead rack or grid for extended periods of time pulling long lengths of heavy cables
 Ability to work various shifts as dictated by project requirements. 
 Ability to accept project work in other locations outside of home market. 
 Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs independently and up to 90 lbs with assistance as necessary  
 Ability to climb ladders and steep staircases. 
 Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and demanding work environments.
 A valid driver's license is required. 
 Working knowledge of computer hardware/software fundamentals with skills and knowledge in Microsoft office product lines, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
 Written and verbal communication and organizational skills
