Network Engineer III is responsible for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies within a network management center or organization, and may handle enterprise level issues. The candidate provides technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions. Candidate is responsible for design, integration, operation and management of complex enterprise networks, linking a variety of platforms, operating systems, network topologies and network protocols. Candidate may also manage teams of engineers or lead project initiatives related to network architecture, evaluation of hardware and software products and problem resolution.  Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience.  8 years of related work experience.

Plans, designs and implements networked systems of very large scope and very high complexity. Provides engineering services and project management functions required to develop and implement very complex network plans. Ability to communicate systems and solutions to C-Level is important.  Projects include technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines and/or standards. Analysis includes switching, interconnection, national platforms and backbone facilities. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. The successful candidate will support compliance activity governed by the Federal Government, which limits access privileges to United States citizens (without dual citizenship). Candidate must meet United States government security requirements in accordance with government contract.


Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and 10 years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high  school
    U.S. Citizenship (without dual citizenship)
    Current or ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (required)
    10 years network engineering experience
    Five years experience with project management and project implementation
